Rules Samples

Horizontal and vertical rules are lines which separate major sections of a page.

Directions:

Windows - Point to the rule you want, right mouse click and choose "Save Image As..." (Netscape) or "Save Picture As..." (Internet Explorer).

Macintosh - Point to the rule you want, hold the mouse button down and choose "Save Image As..."

The following images can be used as either horizontal or vertical lines. They are actually one pixel dots. Set the image height and width parameters to the length and width of the line you want (in pixels). In these examples WIDTH=535 and HEIGHT=2.

The following vertical lines use the same images as above with WIDTH=2 and HEIGHT=125.

When using these dots as vertical rules, set the image alignment parameter to Right or Left and add HSPACE=4 to the parameters as well to provide space around the vertical line.
